One thing I never thought I'd be intrested in was blogging. One day my English teacher told us we were going to start and I was like "eeeehh, I'm not too sure about that", but with a little bit of practice and time I started to enjoy it. I think in our English class blogging should be graded on the appearance and quantity of the work. Blogging just shouldn't be ching ching than done, it should take time and effort. You can tell through the appearance of a person's blog whether it was carefully done or rushed. It wouldn't be fair if you gave someone an A if they just had a blah background compared to someone with an outstanding looking background. Nor would the person with the outstanding background think that was fair considering they took a lot more time in creating their blog. So I think the grading of a blog should be determined on appearance and quanity, the length of the topic given.

I hear you, Miss Messner, but what exactly constitutes "outstanding?" What if I were to use colors and images that you find ugly, and what if I spill my guts into a site that is considered simple by others?
ReplyDeleteWhat about length of entries? What if someone only posts pictures to his or her blog?
outstanding constitutes as appearance. Even if the pictures are ugly and the colors are blah; it still has an appearance; it may not be a pretty one, but it still has one. Just throwing pictures into a blog in not acceptable there has to be written entries, no specific length, but it has to have some sort of length and meaning.
ReplyDeleteI never thought that I would be interested in blogging either. Well I'm really not it is just something to ocuppy me while in Abrams class. At t he end of the day I can care less.
